This extension does not collect, harvest, store, or transmit any personal data, user credentials, browsing habits, or telemetry to external servers. It is built as a fully secure, self-contained client-side tool.

2. Local Storage of API Keys

If you choose to input a Google Places API key to speed up Google Maps lookups, this key is saved securely inside your browser's local sandbox using chrome.storage.local. This key is never shared, sent, or uploaded to any third party other than direct Places API calls to Google's official endpoints.

3. Background Scraping Data Boundaries

When you trigger a company lookup, the extension opens temporary background browser tabs to load public ratings pages on Glassdoor and Google Search.

• These tabs load using your existing browser session and cookies to guarantee access.
• We do not collect, log, or store any information from these pages other than extracting the business rating value and review count.
• No data is transmitted beyond rendering the interactive glassmorphic ratings card on your active screen tab.
• The scraping tabs are fully destroyed and closed automatically within 3 seconds of completing the lookup.

4. No Tracking, Cookies, or Analytics

The Company Rating Lookup extension does not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, tracking pixels, or third-party advertisements of any kind. Your lookups remain private to you.
